Tip #1: Make sure your business page is up to date and you are engaging with your followers.

This may seem self-explanatory but the reason this is incredibly important is that Facebook is being used more and more frequently as a search engine for people to find businesses and brands. People search not only for whether or not you are listed on facebook but they also are looking at the reviews you’ve gotten as well as the number of followers, likes, comments, and shares you get. So making sure that your business info is always up to date and accurate makes sure that when people do find you, they can easily contact you or start following you.

Videos are currently the most watched and shared content type on Facebook. People are spending countless hours watching videos on Facebook. Just think of how many videos you’ve watched on facebook that someone tagged you in or shared. On top of that, Videos, if done well can be one of the most effective forms of telling your brand’s story and typically get the most engagement from your followers. People love a good story and videos are one of the most effective ways to get your message across.  

To give you an idea of how serious facebook videos have become, Facebook itself saw the rise of popularity of videos on its platform and launched a new service called Watch. It is essentially a designated video platform right on Facebook that allows users to create shows or content. It’s currently limited to a few producers but will soon be open to everyone and they hope it will essentially rival both YouTube and mainstream Television as it will provide a platform for people to create recurring shows with different episodes.  

Tip #3: Use Facebook’s Ad Platform.

Everybody on facebook has an extensive profile with not just their geographical location but also their likes and connections. People like brands pages or celebrities pages or other famous people and facebook keeps track of all of that. because of all of those things, facebook’s ad platform is one of the most powerful. You have the ability to narrow down and target people very specifically based on the most thorough data such as Location, Demographics (age, gender, relationships, education, job title, etc), Interests (literally anything, food, travel, sports, brands, pages, celebrities, topics, etc) and it goes as far as to also track purchase decisions too. So create some ads with the awesome videos you make and target the right people to really grow your brand.

Tip #4: Retargeting people with your Ads

This next point is kind of a continuation of the previous point. You ever notice how when you go on a website once and then all of a sudden you start to see their ads all over your facebook newsfeed? Well that’s because they installed a Facebook Pixel. A Pixel is a tracking code that allows you to target the very people who have visited your website. The reason you want to do this is that it usually takes several interactions with someone before they are ready to become your customer/client. The other reason is that they have already shown interest in your brand by going to your website at least once. So by running an ad that is targeting these people, you will be able to convert them into clients or customers much easier.
